Creative Clubs Comes to an End.
What a summer it’s been! The brilliant Screen Academies Officers, Tom and Verity, have been having all the fun, going to various places in South Wales showing those aged 11-14 the amazing skills that are used in Film and Television. They explored SFX Make-up, Camera, Sound, Lighting and so much more!
A big thanks to everyone who joined us this Summer, we had some very talented participants attend, and we can’t wait to see how they use these skills going forward!
Creative Club Showcase
We were thrilled to invite those who attended our Creative Clubs this Summer to Great Point Seren Studios to showcase their amazing final films. We started off with a tour of the Studios, where they were able to see all of the skills they learnt used in a High-End TV Production. They saw the costume department, some very cool and rather large TV equipment over at Sunbelt Rentals, and had a guided tour from Production Designer, James North who gave us a sneak peak of the wonderful sets there. We were blown away!
We ended the visit with popcorn and a premiere of all the brilliant films they created at the workshops. We loved them all!
Thanks again to those who were able to attend, and to those that helped make the tour amazing!
Wolf Pack Update
Zelo and Nenet have been here, there, and everywhere, and we couldn’t be prouder! Zelo spent a month at Mad Dog Casting, where he got stuck in with the work the amazing team do, he even did some SA work as well! He loved the casting side of production and has even taking an interest in acting! Shortly after he spent a week on the set of Casualty as a runner. He’s currently prepping for a Directing course that he’ll be attending next month and he’s also supporting us in making and starring in our Tik Tok channel!
Nenet did some work shadowing on set alongside the sound department, where her love for sound grew! She then headed straight to Urban Myth where she got stuck in with the script supervisor department on an upcoming production. She’s currently thriving over at Gorilla where she’s learning all about the fascinating world of Post- Production!
The journey has been exciting so far, and we’re looking forward to the rest of their journey.
