Facilities by ADF:

We love it when people take matters into their own hands, and that’s exactly what Women in Locations did when they visited Location One’s Bristol branch to talk all things power. Our team set up the kit and got technical - covering generator sizing, voltage drops, balancing phases, and Battery Storage Units (BSU). With these women working on some of the UK’s biggest productions, including Rivals and Wolf Hall, it was an honour to support their learning and development.

Real SFX:

National Apprenticeship Week!

At Real SFX, apprenticeships are at the heart of what we do, and we were incredibly proud to have celebrated National Apprenticeship Week recently. We looked back on all our apprentices over the years, and since our first apprentice, Dewi, in 2010, we've been committed to training the next generation of SFX talent. Many of our apprentices, including Dai (2013-14), Stephen (2016-17), Dan (2018-19), Alex & Will (2019-20), and Lenny (2023-24), continue to work as highly skilled SFX Technicians, making significant contributions to productions across film and TV.

Through our partnership with Sgil Cymru, we’ve supported apprentices in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative industry. Now, with Rudi and Griff as our latest apprentices, we continue to invest in the future of SFX.

It was a great opportunity to celebrating their journeys and success stories, whilst showcasing the incredible impact apprenticeships have on our industry.
