Cardiff Commitment:
We had some film work going on in two Gabalfa schools this week as part of a larger community art project from The Curriculum Team in collaboration with Youth Services and Cardiff artists Unify Collective. Before representing their community learners from Ysgol Glan Ceubal and St Joe's RC Primary School delved into the history of their community with archive footage from Wales Broadcast Archive Centre. Through the support of Into Film Cymru, local film-makers Tracy Pallant and Amy Peckham were tasked with turning the learners into documentary makers. The community will soon see the premieres of their documentaries on how the Gabalfa Interchange changed the face of their communities.
