Real SFX: Carmela conquers the LET’S GOA Rickshaw Rally We are beyond proud of our fearless Company Director Carmela Carrubba, and the unstoppable Sisterhood Rickshaw Rally team for taking on one of the most intense challenges imaginable - a 1,000km rickshaw journey across India in just six days! This was no ordinary road trip. Carmela and her team braved chaotic, high-risk roads in blistering heat, with countless breakdowns and gruelling 10 hour a day drives day after day. It was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting, but she never gave up. Speaking after the challenge, Carmela said: "It was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever faced. Blood, sweat, and tears were all part of the journey, I thought I was prepared, but nothing could have prepared me for just how dangerous the roads in India are - every day felt like a test of survival. But after visiting some of the schools we were raising funds for, I knew without a doubt it was all worth it.” The team have raised an incredible £130,000, and these life-changing funds will go directly toward building weatherproof schools so children have a safe place to learn, providing essential job training to help women gain independence and delivering critical medical care to those who need it most. You can still support this incredible cause here.
